Linda's Message for August |
Have we had summer yet? The warmer temperatures seem to have evaded us. However, it makes it quite nice for those working at the Children’s Zoo. Our cameras-for-loan project at the zoo has been a big success and I have enjoyed being a part of it. A very few weeks from now we will be done for this year. That doesn’t seem possible. Thanks to all who have joined us on Wednesday evenings and a huge thank you to Jim Atkins for his dedication to this project. |

Mow, water, weed, enjoy and then repeat the cycle. Summer is now officially here. We have had drenching rains, heat, humidity, and insects. Vacations, hometown celebrations, reunions, county fairs, and more are everywhere one turns. Flowers are in full bloom, children are in the parks and pools, and animals are resting in the shade. |

Welcome everyone. As your new president I can only hope to partially fill Darrell’s shoes. He did a fantastic job for our club. Thanks to him we have a place to meet on East Campus. Personal thanks from me for his numerous contributions. |

Lincoln Camera Club’s participation in the 2009 Central Plains Severe Weather Symposium was a rousing success! Over 4000 people attended the symposium and many of those spent time looking at the long wall full of photos |

Darrell's Message for March |
Although the calendar says that spring is just around the corner, the current weather seems to be telling us that the corner is at the far end of a very long block. Even so, just the thoughts of warmer weather and spring flowers are enough to generate some daydreams of the photos we’d like to take while wandering about without the need of a jacket (or a parka).
